Cheekbone
Having a prominent cheekbone is a problem among the facial bones, namely the cheekbone and zygomatic arch. Thus, if the cheekbone is prominently forward, the operation consists of grinding the front side of cheekbone. If the side and the front part cheekbone are too prominent, this is fixed by cutting the bone and pushing it in.
Angled Jaw
There are two approaches used for surgery on an angled jaw. The first method is the consolidation method and involves forming micro-holes after incisions are made to the inner part of the mouth, and the second method is the incision method that involves cutting part of the jaw bone that is in front of the ear. As each method has its own merits and faults, patients must consult with the medical expert to determine the operation that is suitable for them depending on their personal preferences and physical condition.
Patients do not need to worry about scars because the incisions to cut the jaw are made inside the mouth through the tiny holes placed on the lower side of the chin. This is especially suited for patients worried about scars or the drooping of the cheek after surgery as well as for senior patients.
Furthermore, there is no need to worry about scars because the incisions to cut part of the jaw muscles are also made inside of the mouth. Part of the angled jaw is then removed through the tiny holes placed below the chin. The surgery to correct angled jaws result in better facial outlines when viewed straight on and smooth lines when viewed from the side. When the surgery is performed in this manner, it usually can be completed within an hour since it has a very small risk of damaging the facial nerve.
When the angle of the chain is complicated, it is recommended that the protruding jaw muscle is cut to make the jaw narrower by 2cm after removing the skin behind. The advantage to this method is by cutting behind the ear it lends itself to a wider view.
Chin Protrusion
The object of this procedure is to push or pull out the end of the chin by cutting inside the mouth. In the case of a long chin, the operation can be performed by either cutting down the chin and pushing it in or by adjusting both sides of the chin.
Mouth protrusion
Compared to Western people, Eastern people tend to have a more flattened face along with having both sides of the nose, where the nasolabial folds are, sunk in which cause the mouth to seem to protrude more and produce an older look.
Having the nose sunk in more is due to the underdeveloped maxillary bone, and it causes the part around the nose that backs the nasal tip to sink and produces a dark shadow. Thus, the face always looks darker rather than elegant and comfortable. To improve this without having bone surgery, one can achieve that elegant look by getting a filling implant into the sunken area.
