Development
When children suddenly show signs of rapid growth, there are times when parents tend to think that their children will keep growing at that rate. However, the fact that the 2nd rapid growth phase has begun means that the end of the growth phase is near. A sudden growth spurt in your child’s height should not be something to just be happy about but rather something to carefully think about, and wonder whether or not the rapid growth spurt came at the right time for your child.

Oriental Medicine
Oriental medicine is the rich repository of vitamins and minerals.
At the Bakdal Namu Oriental Clinic, when choosing ingredients for growth delay prescriptions we think deeply towards the environmental situations as well as genetic circumstances of the children suffering from growth delay disorders.
Acupuncture
First, acupuncture is applied at the region that can stimulate growth.
Second, children going through the development stage may lack digestive power, and in order to remedy this, acupuncture is applied at the region that can stimulate the digestive powers.
Growth Acupuncture
Growth hormones are most actively secreted during the night, especially during 10pm and 2am.
However, it is not possible to receive acupuncture during that time so growth acupuncture is applied on the regions to substitute the acupuncture.
Oil Massage
The bladder pressure points of the back are massaged using oils.
The growth plates that play an important role in helping our bodies grow are located in our vertebra and knees. The cystoscopy is the only meridian pathway that gives an enema from top to bottom and head to toe. Since all the points of the five viscera and the six entrails in our body exist here, it helps to balance the five viscera by massaging them.
Exercise Methods
To grow taller in height during the growth period, exercise is definitely required.
Aerobic exercises such as jumping rope, playing basketball, stretching, bicycling, jogging and dancing are needed. Exercises involving jumping movements are especially excellent in stimulating the growth plate.
Guidance in Dietary Habits
This is a menu coordination that helps to draw further away from instant foods, fast foods, cookies, ice cream and others of that kind to get closer to traditional Korean foods, vegetables, brown rice and fruits.
Figure Correction
Once the development of the bone structure is quickly formed, only then will the figure begin to take shape.
However, if during the development the spine or pelvis start to twist, this could hamper the overall development. Also, bent legs make one's height shorter and the correction of the legs may allow for an increase in height of about 1~2cm. Therefore, it is very important to correct the bone structures of children suffering from flat footedness, a twisted pelvis or a bent spine.
Growth Diary
The Bakdal Namu Oriental Clinic will also help with the self-management of growing correctly by recording details such as when the Oriental medicine and growth aids are being taken, the daily menu, hours of sleep, etc. all in their own specialized Growth Diary.
