Acne
Although acne is largely associated with the young because it generally takes place during puberty, it is actually a skin disease that can occur in 30~40 year old women, stressed-out men and people of all ages.
As an infectious skin disease that develops in the sebaceous glands attached to the hair follicle, it largely occurs on the face, but can occur anywhere that has sebaceous glands (including neck, back and chest). Light acne during the puberty phase is considered normal and temporary, but in extreme cases it may leave permanent acne scars and is why it is so important to receive effective treatments early.
