| History |
Daegu Station was built in 1904 together with the construction of Gyeongbu Railway. Located nearby North Gate of Daegu Castle before it was demolished in 1906, Daegu Station was where the commercial activities began.
With station development funded entirely through private capital, Daegu Station has been maintaining continuous growth.
On average, 10,500 travelers board and 10,500 travelers get off trains per day in Daegu Station. Service routes are Daegu - Seoul, Daegu - Busan, Daegu - Pohang and Daegu - Jinju along Gyeongbu line.
Each day, passenger trains depart 252 times - 54 by Saemaeul, 104 by Mugunghwa, 14 by Tongil. Freight trains operate 70 times per day and transportation trains operate 10 times per day. Tour trains are on service once or twice a month.
The routes also include the Jeongdongjin Tour Train (2-day course) to Odongdo of Yeosu, Muchangpo and Chungju Lake (1-day course). |

| History |
East Daegu Station was built on June 10, 1969 over the site of 121,962 pyeong. The building itself measured 7,811 pyeong. Located amid the spirit of Mt. Palgong and Nakdong River, East Daegu Station is the center of activity in the Yeongnam region. This station is responsible for transportation of 2.5 million people in Daegu-si and 200,000 in Gyeongsangbuk-do region.

East Daegu Station is located on the opposite side of Dongbu Fire Station a 20-minute distance by bus and 10-minute distance by taxi from Daegu City Hall.
Walk for 3 minutes along the stairways from East Daegu Station. It is on the opposite side of Hanjin Express Bus Terminal (6-minute walking distance). |
